20-yr-old Creates, Launches First Bilingual Tour Guide App

A 20-year-old Cameroonian Pemwoya Bryan Pangui, of the startup group Nchimsy Teq has created and launched the country’s first bilingual travel guide application.

The app is known as #TourCMR. The Minister of State, Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Bello Bouba Maigari it should be said had launched the app at a ceremony in Yaounde on November 2, 2021.

Other members of government lived that event that was focused on celebrating innovations. Many have described the app as being super innovative and would ease the movement of tourists and other guests. This is the case with guests currently in Cameroon for the ongoing TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.

Tourists are already said to have been hailing the TourCMR App as an initiative that has made the visit to Cameroon stress free. For others planning to visit Cameroon, the app is said to be an asset that will make arrangements easier and less stressful.

The TourCMR App is available on both Google PlayStore and AppStore. It has everything one needs to know about the beauty of Cameroon. It also helps one to navigate around the country with much ease. Cameroon is known the world over as Africa in miniature.

Experts say despite this, there has been a lack of a well-structured guide to enable tourists and visitors enjoy what the country has.
