Fai Collins reported to have joined Victoria United
Cameroonian international footballer Fai Collins has parted ways with his club, Al Tai.
The Saudi Arabian side announced on Tuesday. The 30-year-old right-back, who has 55 caps for the Indomitable Lions, joined Al Tai in January 2022 but has struggled to make an impact in the Saudi Professional League. He made just 29 appearances for the club, scoring no goals.
“Al Tai has reached an agreement with the player Fai Collins to terminate his contract,” the club said in a statement. “We thank the player for his contributions to the team and wish him all the best in his future career.”
Collins’s departure leaves Al Tai with a vacancy at right-back. The club is reportedly looking to sign a replacement before the start of the new season.
Collins is now free to sign for another club. He is likely to be a sought-after player, given his experience and international pedigree. He could be a good signing for a club in Europe or Africa.
