“I am honored to be the first Cameroonian to graduate from Peking University with a Ph.D. in Chinese. I believe that this is a testament to the hard work and dedication of my teachers and classmates. I am also grateful for the support of my family and friends. I hope that my story will inspire other young Cameroonians to pursue their dreams. I believe that anything is possible if you set your mind to it,” Dr Mendoo said.
In addition to this achievement, Mendoo is also celebrated for having been made an ambassador for foreign students of the university.
