Cameroonian Singer, Karista wins The Voice Kids 6.5 million FCFA prize

Karista Khan 14-year-old Cameroonian artist has won the prestigious kid singing competition, The Voice Kids 2022, which took place in Belgium.


According to reports, Karista in the course of the competition showcased a stunning performance of “Shackle” by Mary Mary. This was at the knockout stage of the competition.

“Words have failed me, I am super thankful to God because it is thanks to him that I was able to have this opportunity. I say a big thank you to my sister. If she hadn’t registered me, I wouldn’t have had this experience,” said Karista, moments after being declared winner.



The Cameroonian artist was given the sum of 10,000 Euros (over 6.5 million FCFA) as cash prize. She emerged winner out of over 50 kids with whom she began the competition.



It should be noted that The Voice Kids is a Belgian music talent show for aspiring singers aged between 8 and 14.

The first edition of the competition took place in September 2014 on VTM.
