The war of figures of infected cases of COVID-19, deaths, treated cases, those hospitalised and other information on the virus varies on social media and most often misleading and Cameroon is not exempted.
How to get authentic information by the population and professionals in the domain of information remains an issue.
To solve this issue, Awah Donalcien- a full stack web development student at Seven Advance Academy Institution in Douala has build a curative platform called ncovinfo.mpolive.
The nineteen year old student told Mimi Mefo Info that “I built the platform to provide credible figures and information of COVID-19 cases in Cameroon and the World. I often see people argue issues concerning the disease and i thought there was the need to permit people get the right information from the platform.”
Questioned on how he built the platform, Awah Donalcien says “I used React Js by facebook, material designed by Google, Bootstrap, methro api and firebase by Google”.
To the communication service of Seven Academy, a first class IT training Institution in Cameroon, the student Awah Donalcien equally developed a new form of Youtube last year 2019. According to the student, the classical Youtube has several distractions.
As Cameroonians observe partial lockdown to curb COVID-19, students of Seven Academy are making use of e learning and further research to provide solutions to IT issues.
