Cameroonians in Ukraine to protest increased cost of passport renewal

Some Cameroonians in Ukraine have decried the increase in the cost of renewing their passports. To show their discontent, the say they will carry out a strike action this Saturday.

“They have increased the price to do a passport from 150€ to 289€, far  from the normal price in all other European Countries,” MMI was told.

‪”It’s very difficult for us who want to renew our passports,” another Cameroonian in Ukraine added, noting that it makes their lives not only complicated but miserable.

Cameroon officials in the European nation are yet to comment on the supposed price increase and planned strike.

This recent developments  comes following complaints back in Cameroon of a shortage of passports seen through longer time-frames and the increased cost involved in getting one.
