Campaign Day 8: Candidates Intensify Wooing Tactics

For the first time since campaigns kicked off ahead of October 7, 2018 presidential election in Cameroon, the CPDM candidate and incumbent Paul Biya is in Maroua to woo the over 1 million registered voters in the Far North region.

Paul Biya’s visit is taking place at the time when the CPDM announced a campaign rally in Limbe, South West region hit by the anglophone crisis.

This is coming after a similar outing in Kumba during which party officials described Paul Biya as the only presidential hopeful capable of resolving the deepening crisis.

Barrister Akere Muna is holding a rally at the  Dschang ceremonial ground, West Region this Saturday after he explained his project for a new Cameroon to the people of the South West, Littoral and Centre regions.

Joshua Osih hits  Garoua this Saturday where he is due to hold a mega rally.

After touring Bafoussam, Dschang, Baham, Bana and other parts of the West region, prophet Frankline Ndifor Afanwi is en route to Ebolowa, South Region. He promised to introduce a mechanized agricultural system if elected president on October 7th.

Serge Espoir Matomba began the day on a rather negative footing as his 70-seater campaign bus went into flames in Meinganga, Adamawa region. He left Garoua Boulai to woo voters when the incident occurred.

The Presidential candidate of PURS party suspects that it was masterminded as he had received threats earlier.

While Garga Haman Adji will be explaining his economic program to the people of Bertoua, Adamou Ndam Njoya is still awaited on the campaign ground.

Professor Maurice Kamto is preparing for a mega rally Sunday at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.

Cabral Libii of UNIVERS party is also in the Centre region.
