Cameroon’s minister of transport has said seven persons are still missing after a boat overturned in Malombo, a locality in Makaka subdivision of the Nyong and Kelle division, Centre region.
The incident happened on June 7, 2022.
“Of the twelve passengers on board, seven persons are declared missing,” minister Ngalle Bibehe stated in a June 9 release.
Five others were rescued as the rescue mission ensues, said minister Bibehe.
“The Minister of transport reassures the bereaved families of the constant support of the government,” the official’s statement noted.
