Cesar Ngomo Honoré to ‘face the law’ after allegations against Ayah Foundation

Cesar Ngomo Honoré, a supporter of the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) will on January 24 appear before the judicial police.

He was finally handed a summons yesterday after allegedly evading the police.

The regime supporter “… is wanted by the police following his declarations over Equinoxe Radio where he said that the Ayah Foundation supplies arms to separatist fighters,” the foundation’s head, Ayah Ayah Abine had said.

Making the accusation, Cesar is said to have added that the ambulances of the Foundation were caught supplying arms to secessionist fighters.

“The CPDM militant earlier refused to collect a summons from the bailiff in this regard and had since switched off his phones and disappeared since he was informed there’s a convocation from the police for him,” said Ayah.

He was however later traced and handed the summons and is expected at the Judicial Police Station in the capital, Yaounde on January 24, 2022.

Cesar is not the first to get into hot water over claims regarding the Ayah Foundation. To date, however, all that accused the foundation of dealings with separatists have come short of any viable proof.

The foundation remains one of the most impactful in the conflict-torn regions where thousands are in dire need of aid. Its influence continues to extend the right to the French-speaking parts of the country and neighboring Nigeria where some victims are seeking refuge.
