CHAN 2020: Morocco wins back to back to emerge Champions

The Atlas Lions of Morocco have for a second time claimed the title at another CHAN tournament.

They emerged victorious after beating Mali in the Finals 2-0 in Yaoundé.

The Moroccans have by far been the best participating team in this year’s CHAN in Cameroon.

They’ve not only defeated teams on the road to lifting their second title, they’ve blown them off with emphatic displays with the highlight being their 4-0 thrashing of Cameroon at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium.

Despite the Moroccans deservedly being worthy Champions, Mali actually gave a good account of themselves which makes the 2-0 score quite flattering for those who watched the game.

The difference between the teams was quality at the final third.

While Mali had more of the efforts, it is Morocco who were more clinical, nodding in two headers from two corner kicks.

At the blast of the Final whistle, there was no doubting what the better team of the tournament was. Morocco had the best goalkeeper of the tournament, the Most Valuable Player and the highest goal scorer of the tournament.
