CHAN2020: Football spectators applaud Morroco’s brilliant finish

Morocco will for time to come remain on the lips of many for a brilliant performance that saw it win the African Nations Championship, CHAN for a second consecutive time.

The team shattered the hearts of the home fans after beating the Intermediate Lions 4 – 0 at the semifinals.

Not even Mali could hold them back as they led Mali by two goals to zero in regular time to win the tournament.
Many have since extended their congratulations to the winning team for pulling off such a marvelous feat.

“Morocco knows their football. Let’s congratulate them!” A Football lover commented, adding that he enjoyed “their style of football”.

“Morocco is the best they deserve it. Congratulations!” commented another.

According to a Facebook user, Silus Vilus, Morocco’s victory is “… evidence of a strong local league. Kudos to them”.

Some fans however have not been silent over the conduct and some decisions by the referee. His actions, they say, somehow contributed unfairly to the game’s outcome.

To one of them, “the referee gave a wrong corner kick against Mali. VAR did not see that one. Congratulations anyway to Morocco”.

Others have criticized the use of the Video Assistance Referee, VAR, citing that it does not only destroy the game but often alters its original course, making it boring for spectators.
