CHAN 2021: PM Dion Ngute instructs stakeholders to be more serious

Work for the construction of Japoma two thousand multipurpose sports complex stands at over 60%. Though the complex will not be used during African Football Championship in 2021, Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute calls for the respect of the deadline.

Visiting football infrastructure in Douala, Cameroon’s economic Capital Tuesday, December 15th, 2020, the hard of government inspected works at Japoma 50.000 capacity stadium, Bepanda Stadium and it’s annex and training stadia at Brazaries Ndokoti and Bonamousadi.

“From what I have seen, Douala is ready with good infrastructure. The championship will be coming in a month. I have instructed other works in the city to meet up with deadlines.”

Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute equally visited the east entrance to the city.

As the government multiplies efforts for a hitch free African Football Championship from January 16th to February 7th, 2020, Douala city dwellers say traffic congestion due to narrow roads and wrong parking of cars, frequent power, and water shortage remains the plight of the people in Douala.

Last week, the head of government carried out a similar inspection visit of stadia in Yaounde.
