I picked qualification over flamboyant play – Intermediate lions’ coach

Cameroon has sailed through to the quarterfinals of the ongoing African Nations Championship, CHAN.

The hosts pulled a zero-all tie against Burkina Faso last night in Yaoundé, leaving them with five points.

Reacting to the farm, the intermediate lions’ coach, Martin Ndtoungou Mpile said he took the better of two options he had.

“Between the flamboyant game and the qualification, I choose the qualification” he told reporters.

The tactician added that “… We will prepare the match against the DRC or any other opponent. We have five days to prepare and correct certain things”.

Mali emerges as the top group A side in the after the first round of the competition, with 7 points.
