A competition for the cleanest city in the South West Region has been launched in Buea by Robert Fonge, the Regional Delegate for Urban Housing and Development.

The campaign that aims at promoting cleanliness in the environment saw the presence of many city councils of the region during the launch.

“Today we are launching a clean city contest for the South West Region. It entails keeping our environment clean for the better living of Cameroonians,” said Robert Fonge.

He added that “the project entails that the councils take care of their environment, the quarters, and the communities so that our region is clean.”

The campaign will be extented to other parts of the country under the supervision of the governor of the South West region, MMI has learnt.

The winner of the contest in the South West Region will have the privilege to join the contest at the national level.

Many are, thus, impatiently waiting to know which of the cities of the region will represent the South West in Cameroon.

Which Cameroonian city to you is the cleanest?

That’s why we continue to ask for your constant support.
