U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Baltimore arrested 31-year-old Cameroonian national Clovis Fuh Neba on May 23, 2025. This follows his conviction for the abduction of a child under 16 years old in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

According to ICE, Neba has been issued a notice to appear for immigration proceedings and will remain in ICE custody pending further legal action.

Conviction in Prince George’s County

Clovis Fuh Neba was previously convicted of abducting a minor in Prince George’s County. Specific details about the case have not been publicly disclosed by law enforcement. Also, there are no court proceedings available of the time of publication.

ERO Baltimore confirmed the arrest in an official statement via social media, noting:

“ICE @EROBaltimore arrested 31-year-old Cameroonian national Clovis Fuh Neba, May 23. Neba has been convicted of abducting a child under the age of 16 in Prince George’s County, Maryland. He has been issued a notice to appear and will remain in ICE custody.”

ICE Enforcement and Immigration Proceedings

ICE routinely detains noncitizens who have been convicted of serious crimes in the United States as part of its enforcement mandate. Once in custody, individuals may face removal proceedings if they are determined to be in violation of U.S. immigration laws. However, there have been allegations of many deportations without due process.

ERO Baltimore has not released additional information about Neba’s immigration status prior to his arrest or the specific immigration charges he may face.

Ongoing Legal Process

Neba’s case is now pending within the U.S. immigration court system. It remains unclear when his next hearing is scheduled or whether he has legal representation.

This arrest highlights ICE’s ongoing efforts to identify and apprehend noncitizens with criminal convictions. This comes as the Trump administration has intensified deportation of non-citizens with criminal records.
