The Ministry of Public Health has announced a national campaign in all 10 regions of the country. The campaign which began today is intended to run till July 11. The ministry has set a target of vaccinating at least 200,000 Cameroonians around the country.
The national campaign would be carried out in health establishments, as well as through mobile teams who will be charged at administering the vaccines from door to door, meeting places, markets, places of worship, business, and public administrations.
This is going to be the second national campaign to be launched by the Ministry of Health, after the first which was launched in May being largely dissatisfactory.
Given that the campaign has been set for just five days, Public Health Minister, Manaouda Malachie has called on the media to spread awareness on the need for a vaccine against the coronavirus.
