CPDM tests grounds, launches reorganisation of basic organs in North West Region

The permanent coordinator of the ruling CPDM party in the North West Region, Philemon Yang has launched the regional operation to reorganise the basic organs of the party.

During the launching ceremony in Bamenda Saturday August 14, Philemon Yang encouraged party aspirants of the grassroots elections to strictly respect party laws.

The CPDM officials were reminded that the party discipline and previous electoral successes are key factors which will guide the electoral process.

Philemon Yang also requested on party members to work for the return of peace in the North West region.

“In the present atmosphere of insecurity, everything we will do here is part of the reconstruction of this region” he stated.

“Reconstruction,” he added, “is at different levels. First of all the mental level. The Reorganisation of the party will tell people that we are in a region that can move towards peace and the reconstruction of houses and bridges will come. But for the moment, we are dealing with the minds of our people”.

Prior to the launch of this exercise, the North West House of Chiefs under the leadership of it’s president, Fon Yakum, held emergency meetings to map out strategies for a hitch free process in the various divisions of the North West region.
