Cristiano Ronaldo Becomes First Top Scorer in Four Leagues

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Age is just a number for Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese phenomenon has cemented his legendary status once again, achieving a feat no player has ever accomplished before. Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, is now the undisputed first player in history to be the top scorer in four of the world’s top leagues: La Liga, Serie A, the Premier League, and most recently, the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo’s dominance continued as he shattered the record for most goals scored in a single Saudi Pro League season. The 39-year-old striker netted an impressive 35 goals in just 31 games, his firepower being a key factor in securing a memorable victory for his club, Al-Nassr.

The recent win means, Al-Nassr secured a strong second-place finish in the league for the second year running. They finished 14 points behind champions Al-Hilal but maintained a comfortable 17-point lead over third-placed Al-Ahli.

Ronaldo’s impact on the team was undeniable. This latest accomplishment adds to his already staggering career total of 765 goals across 22 years. His remarkable journey has seen him wear the jerseys of Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.

He’s not just a club legend, but a global icon. Ronaldo also holds the record for most international goals scored by a man, with an impressive 128 goals netted in 206 appearances for the Portuguese national team.

Despite his achievements, Ronaldo remains characteristically modest. When asked about his record-breaking season, he stated, “I don’t follow the records, the records follow me.”

This latest accomplishment adds another glittering chapter to Ronaldo’s already illustrious career. His arrival at Al-Nassr in January 2023 on a free transfer, following his departure from Manchester United, was met with surprise by some. However, Ronaldo has silenced his doubters with a phenomenal season, scoring a staggering 64 goals in 69 matches across all competitions for his new club.
