“CRTV looks like an intruder amongst other TV channels” – Hon. Nourane Foster explodes

The charismatic Member of Parliament for the PCRN party took to her social media platforms to discuss the recent controversial phone tax law which is expected to go into effect today October 15, 2020.

Users of phones and several other gadgets are expected to pay a tax valued at 33.05% of the purchase prices of each of their mobile phones and tablets.

During her live session on Facebook, Nourane Foster slammed the national broadcaster CRTV for its laxity in disseminating the information concerning the measure on the said law.

She went tough on CRTV, saying the media is archaic and void of change.

“Who watches CRTV? These young people who represent the largest users of mobile phones are not informed. CRTV is like an ancestor. It’s old, it’s ugly, it’s out of fashion! It looks like an intruder amongst other channels,” she fired.

The MP vented her frustrations at the fact that CRTV is a national station with all the available funds and resources to upgrade but yet it keeps being left behind.

“You are a national station. You ought to have the best devices. The best cameras and other things. The budget is there. Money is taken from everyone’s salary for CRTV,” she added.

In a response to the PCRN member of Parliament, President of the SNJC Denis Nkwebo fired back at Nourane Foster saying “CRTV is the most professional media house in Cameroon”.

He slammed the MP, telling her it was not in her competence to determine what should or should not be fixed at CRTV and Cameroon Tribune.

CRTV on their part responed to Nourane Foster by posting pictures of the Member of Parliament on their Facebook page telling her she will be always welcomed to the media house whenever the need arises.
