Customs Officer allegedly killed by BIR boyfriend to be exhumed, reburied

The corpse of Colette Shepuwa Titang, a Cameroonian customs Officer will be reburied in Limbe, South West region on February 12.

Allegedly killed and dumped by her boyfriend, Suh Kenneth, an element of the Rapid Intervention Battalion, BIR squad, Colette was earlier buried after being found in the bush, prior to her body being identified.

Her loved ones say they have followed all processes and have been granted permission to exhume the corpse for a more befitting burial.

News of Colette’s death in the hands of her longtime lover broke in January this year.

Sources close to the deceased revealed that Suh Kenneth was already married and a father of three kids before meeting Collette, keeping it a secret from her throughout their relationship.

Arrested and held in a detention facility in Mbanga, Colette’s loved ones later accused Kenneth of ‘pulling financial strings’ to make his case literally unattended to.

“I am really worried because from all indications, this is gradually becoming another case of injustice gradually being meted. Mr. Suh Kenneth through his relationship with Collette had amassed a lot of wealth and I fear he is gradually using this wealth to bribe his way out of prison” a relative had stated.

The BIR element, they say, claimed he had killed her unintentionally, despite reports of a medical report that showed that Colette was strangled and equally had wounds on her head.
