Doctors Without Borders has reiterated its neutrality in the armed conflict in the North West and South West Regions. In a release today, it said claims it was supporting one faction in the conflict are putting the lives of it’s workers as well as those of the needy in jeopardy. This was after government said it had pulled out an injured separatist fighter from the medical aid body’s ambulance.


A local farmer arrested by the BIR in Bamenda has died after spending weeks in detention. Mr. Valentine Mbila was arrested on December 10, 2021 by the BIR as he returned from the farm and was accused of being a Separatist fighter.


Two CRM nilitants; Awusum Mispa and Pascal Zambou have both received 7 years jail terms. They were sentenced by the Yaoundé Military Tribunal. This came after Olivier Bibou Nissack, the CRM Spokesperson and Alain Fogue, the National Treasurer were also handed similar sentences.


Custom authorities have banned the exportation of Vegetable Oil from Cameroon. The ban comes after a serious shortage of the commodity in the country, especially during the festive periods.


The Custom’s ban on the importation of vegetable oil is ironically happening at the same time the government is denying reports of rising inflation in the country. The government spokesperson, Rene Emmanuel Sadi in a release denied the reports, claiming all is well contrary to what is shown by the media.


Decorations placed at the Douala airport have been pulled down. This is after many took to social media to express outrage. The company in charge of the decor however debunked claims it was paid close to half a billion for the job.


The Sudanese National Football team has arrived in Cameroon ahead of the AFCON kick-off in January. The team is the second team after Ethiopia to land in Cameroon ahead of the tournament next month.
