The President of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement (CRM), Professor Maurice Kamto, has told incarcerated CRM militants that he has not abandoned them as it is claimed. He told them in a meeting with some recently released CRM militants in Bafoussam, West Region.


Some three boys were today apprehended by the population in Bonduma, Buea for alleged theft. It is said they were caught red-handed in a man’s house stealing his building equipment. They were beaten by the population and handed over to the police.


A group of 5 young men in Mfou, Yaounde have appeared before a court for stealing. The men are believed to be involved in several cases of armed robbery across many homes around Yaoundé.



A group of Teachers Trade Unions has condemned the recent killings of school-going children in Bamenda and Buea. They have called on the Separatists and the Cameroon Military to show restraint in the Anglophone Regions especially towards students and pupils.


The Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Cavaye Djibril today visited the construction site of the edifice that is hoped will house the parliament. He was accompanied by other dignitaries from the National Assembly. The construction works ongoing for some months are estimated at over 50 billion FCFA.



Artists assembled in Buea, South West Region over the weekend to call for peace in the Anglophone regions. This was at the Cameroon International Music Festival – (CIMFEST) peace concert in Buea at the Molyko Stadium. Coincidentally, the concert was on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the start of the current phase of the Anglophone crisis.
