Residents around the Nkwen market in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon are battling to put out a fire at the facility. This comes after flames engulfed a portion of the market. The cause remains unknown.

A recent attack by the Boko Haram sect in Cameroon’s Far North Region has left a soldier dead and others injured. The November 29 attack is said to have been an ambush in Zelevet, a locality in the Moskota sub division, Mayo Tsanaga division.



Today November 30 marks exactly 30 years since Cameroon’s first Head of State, Ahmadou Ahidjo died in exile in Senegal. His body has remained in the West African nation ever since despite the several calls for it to be exhumed and brought back to Cameroon. He has therefore never been given official State burial


Revelations from Doctors Without Borders say that there has been a massive cholera outbreak in the Ekondo Titi and Bakassi Health Districts, South West Region, Cameroon. According to the International Organisation, over 189 cases have been detected, with 5 deaths recorded in the affected areas.


Cameroon’s Head of State, President Paul Biya has condemned the attack on the Government Bilingual High School, in Ekondo Titi by Separatists. Many Cameroonians have however criticised the president’s late reaction, stating that it is imperative for the president to be timely in such situations.


Samuel Eto’o has congratulated Paris Saint Germain forward, Lionel Messi for winning his seventh Balon D’or Award yesterday in Paris. The FECAFOOT presidential candidate also hinted that the Argentine may be coming to Cameroon some time in the near future.
