Ahead of the upcoming FECAFOOT elections this December, Presidential hopeful has been dealt a huge blow after his request to get his opponent, Seidou Mbombo Njoya disqualified was rejected.
Samuel Eto’o had filed to the President of the Ethics Commission of the Cameroon Football Federation for the incumbent president of FECAFOOT to get disqualified from all footballing activities.
The appeal which was filed on November 30, 2021 by the cited corruption allegations on Seidou Mbombo Njoya, arguing that he ought to be suspended.
Nevertheless, Samuel Eto’o’s appeal has been rejected by the ethics commission. According to FECAFOOT, all appeals were due to be done 48 hours after the publication of the list of retained candidates for the elections.
Eto’o’s appeal however came in 5 days late, automatically making the appeal inadmissible by FECAFOOT. The incumbent will therefore be a contestant in the election to be held on December 11.
