Separatist leader, ‘General’ Capo Daniel has blamed the Cameroon government for what he describes as “attempts by social media giant, Facebook to restrict” his platform’s reach. He made the declaration after the Ambazonian Defense Force, ADF, a Separatist faction he controls as Defense Chief was listed among Facebook’s most dangerous organizations/individuals. ADF of the Ambazonia Governing Council (AGovC) which is fighting for a breakaway state called Ambazonia since 2016 has vowed to make the English-speaking parts of Cameroon “ungovernable” until independence is granted to its people.




There is chaos in Aghem, a locality in Menchum Division, North West Region of Cameroon. Reports say a man was burnt to death after soldiers set homes on fire in the area. The Cameroon Association of English-Speaking Journalists, CAMASEJ has announced a session to drill journalists on factoring gender, human rights in conflict reporting in the restive North West and South West Regions. The body’s president, Jude Viban says the training is part of efforts to mainstream gender, protection of journalists, and promotion of human rights in conflict reporting.




Weeks after he was shot, Reverend Voma Simon of PC Ntafoang in Bali, North West Region has said he sustained injuries, after he was shot by the military. In a viral message on Sunday, Rev. Voma said he was shot by government soldiers who also killed a female Christian during the August 2021 attack on the church. Shortly after the incident, the Cameroon army had denied responsibility — claiming Separatist fighters were.





A 30-year-old man has been lynched by an angry mob in Maroua, Far North Region. The man who is said to be a thief was caught “red-handed” by the population.





A bike rider has lost his life in Yaoundé after he was killed by unidentified individuals in the Obilli neighborhood. The biker, called Ezekiel was rushed to the Biyem Assi hospital — efforts to rescue him, were fruitless.





The principal of Government High School Kwang Pinyin was confirmed dead in Yaoundé. Preliminary findings suggest Pa Teneng Walter was beaten to death at Nkolfoulou by yet to be identified individuals. No official statement has been issued.




Cameroon football icon, Albert Roger Milla has apoealed for the Japoma Stadium to be renamed after him. He made was speaking at a press conference after Cameroon’s Minister of State, Secretary-General at the Presidency, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, visited the stadium. Roger Milla whose raised the country’s flag in the domain of football in the 1990s, was part of the delegation to supervise the stadium on Sunday.
