A requiem mass will hold on Thursday for Enondiale Carolaise, the little school girl who was shot dead in Buea by a gendarme officer. The church service will take place at the Saint Charles Lwanga Parish. Bishop of Buea, Michael Miabesue Bibi will officiate the mass.
Scores of women in Bamenda today turned up on the streets to protest against the “brutal” killing of young Carolaise. The protesters were dressed in black — holding placards bearing messages such as “no violence, no killing of children, we want peace no to rape.”
Meanwhile, the town of Bamenda was partially deserted this Tuesday, as residents mourned the 6-year-old school girl shot dead in Buea last week. Several business premises were shut down. Only few motorbikes and cars were plying the road.
The death toll on Wum village in the North West region of Cameroon has risen to 8. Reports say Fulani herdsmen accompanied by government soldiers attacked the village after a security officer was killed by Separatist fighters. Among those killed in the retaliatory attacks was an old man roasted as his house was set ablaze.

The population of Bokeng Bonaho in the Littoral Region of Cameroon staged a protest demonstration today against the bad state of roads in their area. The irate locals blocked the road linking the locality and Loum. Several activities were paralysed as a result.
