Residents of Luh village in Donga Mantung division of the North West Region are still counting their losses after homes were burnt down by Government soldiers on Tuesday. The soldiers, reports say, also killed and roasted locals’ animals, feasting on them before taking their leave.


Hundreds in Kikaikom, a community in Bui Division are still on the run after soldiers invaded their homes this morning. The raid on the locality was at the same time Prime Minister Dion Ngute was preaching peace in Bamenda, the North West regional capital.


At least 5 people have died in a Boko Haram attack in Asighassia, Mayo Tsanaga Division, Far North Region. Most of the population of this area as well as security forces have fled the place, allowing free access to the terrorists.


Today, at least 50 bike riders in the Moungo Division invaded the office of the Mayor of Loum and forcefully collected their motorbikes impounded by security forces. The angry bikers said they have been unable to feed their families for weeks because of no work.



A student of the University of Ngaoundere was on Wednesday stabbed by unidentified individuals on his return from school. He was discovered unconscious by the roadside — and taken to the hospital for treatment.



The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will tomorrow face Mozambique in the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The game will be played at the Douala Japoma stadium in the presence of at least 10,000 fans.



Movements have resumed across Bamenda this evening. Elements of law and order abruptly blocked Ngeng Junction, an entrance into Bamenda without prior notification. People who left shops, markets, and offices could not reach their homes on time.


Residents of Ntarinkon are mourning the death of a young boy who died in a popular garage in Ntarinkon. Reports say he was crushed by the engine of a camion at the camion garage.
