Fingers remain crossed ahead of October 1 – the Independence Day of former British Southern Cameroons, on Friday. Both Separatists and government soldiers have been displaying their military prowess, leaving residents of the North West and South West Regions in fear.


Anglophones have been put on high alert with possible violent clashes anticipated tomorrow, October 1. Ambazonian fighters have released videos of mobilization ahead of a possible celebration of the day they believe is Independence Day for the Southern Cameroons.



Cameroon’s Territorial Administration Minister, Paul Atanga Nji has urged private security enterprise owners to step up to their responsibilities towards their staff. In a meeting today, he urged them to ensure their staff are well paid, and are registered with the National Social Insurance Fund.


The National Agency for Information and Communication has devised an application to ease documentation. The application, will also ensure document security and confidentiality, the agency has revealed.


The COVID-19 pandemic death toll has skyrocketed in Cameroon’s South West Region — with 52 deaths recorded in the past three weeks. Authorities say massive vaccination of the population would prevent them against the virus.



Gwendoline Abunaw, a Cameroonian businesswoman has been nominated amongst the Africa’s top 30 Most influential Female Leaders. Gwendoline has had more than 30 years of working experience in the banking sector and has championed several feminine reforms.



Cameroon’s Head Coach, Antonio Conceiçao has denied allegations of rifts between him and his Deputy coach, François Oman Biyik. He has reiterated that his assistant like all members of his coaching staff is steadfast and in line with the activities within the Indomitable Lions’ Squad.
