The Cameroonian Army says it has noticed an intensity of firepower from separatist fighters in the North West Region of Cameroon. In a statement today, the army spokesman admitted over 15 soldiers had been killed in recent attacks by the separatists. It is estimated the statistics are more.



In Cameroon’s restive North West Region, residents of Ndop and neighboring villages say, they are scared of the unknown — with some fleeing the area. The frightened residents say a military raid is eminent in the division after separatist fighters ambushed armored cars killing 15 soldiers days ago. It’s not clear where and when the military raid will start.



A three-week lockdown called by some Ambazonia diaspora leaders, dubbed ‘Gutteres lockdown’ has entered week two in the North-West region. Schools, businesses, movements have all been grounded. Breaks are observed only from Friday to Sunday.







Security agents in Kribi, South Region of Cameroon have seized 105 cartons of smuggled frozen chicken from traffickers. The chicken was destroyed and the traffickers detained — pending a court appearance.

At least 8 persons have died in a car accident along the Yaoundé-Douala Highway. The accident occurred after the occupants who were aboard a private car were driving from Yaoundé for Douala.




Gendarmerie officials have seized at least 120kgs of Marijuana in Kousseri, Far North Region. The consignment was handed over to competent authorities and the traffickers were arrested and detained.






Workers at the Ministry of Transport got stranded this morning after a security guard sealed the building. Reports say he alleged there were shady spiritual dealings happening in the structure.
