Davido Says Today is ‘Best Day of His Life’ as He Weds Chioma

“I am happy,” said David Adeleke, commonly known as Davido, as he prepared to wed his long-time fiancée and partner, Chioma Roland.

The 31-year-old spoke on Tuesday morning in Lagos, Nigeria, where thousands of families, friends, and colleagues gathered to attend what many Nigerians have described as the “wedding of the year.”

Davido, who is followed by nearly 50 million people on Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter), told his friends while dressing up for his big day, “This is a great day, the best day of my life.”

Davido and Chioma welcomed their twin babies in October 2023, barely a year after the tragic loss of their three-year-old son, David Ifeanyi Adedeji Adeleke Jr.

Reports indicate that celebrities like Chris Brown have been invited to the wedding, along with Nigerian business moguls such as Obi Cubana, designer Veekee James, comic star Sabinus, and several others who have received invites.

In the months leading up to the wedding, at least three women have come forward accusing Davido of either impregnating them or having an affair. Davido has denied all allegations, insisting that he is “unavailable,” as indicated in his 2023 viral music album.

Critics of the award-winning singer hope that the wedding will put an end to the scandals surrounding him and his relationship with Chioma.
