Days ago, a group of Cameroonians living in Belgium infiltrated Cameroon’s embassy in Belgium, causing havoc and creating public disorder.
The handful of Cameroonians who gained access into the embassy were protesting against the arrest and jailing of banana plantation workers in Njombe Penja, who went on record insulting President Biya and his regime.
Reacting to the incident at the embassy, Cameroon’s Ambassador to Belgium, Daniel Evina Abe’e, said the protesters were at the embassy premises and interior for over 40 minutes. They did cause chaos and public disorder.
He adds that there was however little or no damage as the timely intervention of the Belgian police prevented that, and as such activities were able to go on at the embassy hitch free.
