The Divisional Officer of Ndu Subdivision, Mr. Adamu Ibrahim has ordered the closure of some markets under his area of command.

His order is contained in a communique, dated December 23rd, 2021, which is the same day marking the beginning of the ban.

According to the release, the Ntamru, and Ntundip markets are the unfortunate victims of the Divisional Officer’s ban.

D.O Ibrahim’s declaration is based on claims that the aforementioned markets are assembly arenas, where separatists have allegedly planned and executed crimes against humanity, for over three years now.

Article two of the release states that any person caught in violation of the said ban is to be placed under arrest and detention, as well as considered an accomplice of what he termed ‘terrorism’.

With the festive days, many wonders why for the past three years of separatist activities as claimed in the release, the D.O has not banned operations in the markets he calls breeding grounds for terrorists, coming only at a time when people have to merry and forget the pain brought about by the Anglophone Crisis.
