Donga Mantung : Mysterious death of young man leaves population in shock

By David Atangana

The population of Ntumbaw, village in Donga Mantung Division of the North West region, are in shock following the death of a young man under unclear circumstances.

The deceased whose name MMI got as Abibul was found dead in a pool of blood, in the morning of Friday June 23rd, 2022.

The cause of his death is not known as locals say he was seen the previous evening.

It is however suspected he was killed, as wounds were found on his body .

“He closed from work yesterday and was heading home”, said a local who added that, “we just found him dead this morning with wounds on his shoulder”.

He is reported to be a native of Mankeng, a locality in Donga Mantung Division, who was living and working in Ntumbaw.

Though it is not established what killed him, killings has become a norm in the restive North West region since the escalation of the armed separatist conflict in the two English speaking regions of Cameroon.
