Another gruesome murder has sent shock waves across Mbawngong village in Ndu Subdivision, Donga Mantung Division of the North West region.
The murder has been blamed on Fulani herdsmen in the village, sparking another massive outrage between them and the local population of Ndu.
The assassination was allegedly carried out in a coordinated attack by the armed men.
According to sources on the ground, the armed men had come to take someone hostage in the cover of the darkness.
However, attempting to raise an alarm about the presence of the gunmen, the victim, whose name we got as Jumai was shot and killed on the spot by the gunmen.
The attack by the alleged Fulani gunmen is also reported to have left several people in the community with serious injuries.
The local population of Mbawngong have supposedly informed the local administrative authorities about the attack by the Fulani herdsmen.
