Douala: 5 Die In Fatal Accident

At least 5 persons have died in a fatal road accident this evening in Nyalla Parizo, in Douala.

The accident occurred at about 5:54 pm.

According to testimonies, it occurred when the private car lost control and started swaying left and right in the road.

Amidst the chaotic movements of the car, another one behind it bashed the car, causing it to spin in the air before falling, causing the death of the driver.

The incident also quickly culminated in a collision by two motorbikes, causing the deaths of the bike riders and their respective passengers, taking the death toll to 5.

This accident adds to a growing list of several others within the city of Douala in recent periods. Some days ago, another death was recorded on the road as a motorbike rider got squeezed between two heavy-duty trucks.

Residents of the town have pleaded several times with the local authorities to take measures to limit the daily blood flow in the economic capital from accidents.
