A primary school pupil in Douala, Littoral region has passed away after falling from the 3rd floor of her school building.
Little Sandjong, reports say, died shortly after falling off the building of a private primary school she attended in Bepanda, Douala V.
The 9-year-old class 5 pupil is said to have been pushed off the building by her classmate.
The exact circumstances leading to the tragic incident remain unknown, but the victim did not survive as she died shortly after crashing to the ground.
The school is yet to make any comments on the death of its pupil.
The incident has once more raised questions over the safety of structures in the said institution as well as others across the country.
Safety, it should be noted, remains one of the most essential components schools ought to possess before approval to operate by education authorities.
