Douala: Drivers of SCDP company on strike over poor working conditions

Drivers of the Cameroon Petroleum Depot Company (SCDP) in Douala, Littoral region of Cameroon have embarked on a strike action over poor working conditions.

The sit-in protest which began on the evening of Sunday, February 5, 2023, is being carried out at the company’s office at Carrefour Agip in Douala.

The enraged drivers have made it clear that they are not resuming work unless they are granted good toilets, break space, a restaurant and other amenities, which according to them will improve their working conditions.

The strike resumed this morning with the massive presence of protesting drivers at the company’s office.
