Douala: Girl captured after making away with 400,000 CFA on first day as babysitter

A young girl and her 20s has been captured after making away with the sum of 400,000 FCFA while on her first day of work as a babysitter in Yassa, Douala in the Littoral Region of Cameroon.

The young girl, whose real name we got as Laura Ateafac, has given a fake name to her employer; Nkemjong Judith. She left her duty post with the money after working for a single day.

She was later caught at her mother’s house with some bank notes which summed up to the amount of 200, 000 FCFA.

In a viral video, the girl outrightly said she was innocent. But it turned out, that was not the case when she was interrogated further.

Latest reports have it that the mother of the young girl refunded the money in full to the family, to save her daughter from being taken under police custody.
