A man by name Cyrille Walter has been arrested in Douala, Littoral Region of Cameroon for attempting to rape a 13-year-old daughter of wife.
He was arrested on December 30, 2022.
The attempted rapist was picked up by the forces of law and order in the Bonabo neighborhood.
The man had attempted to sexually abuse the daughter of his partner on several occasions.
Reports have it that the mother of the young girl once discovered the ill-intentioned act but later on forgave her husband who assured her it would not repeat itself.
It was however thanks to confessions by the 13-year-old girl that investigations, including medical tests, were carried out, leading to the arrest of Cyrille.
The man in question has been taken into custody at the Bepanda Gendarmerie in Douala.
