A young boy by name Ali Sangoum has been electrocuted to death in a stream in the Bafia neighborhood, Douala Littoral Region.
He was electrocuted on Sunday, October 9, 2022, while carrying out fishing activities in the said stream.
According to reports,
the electricity emanated from an electrified fence, surrounding a pigsty. The owner of the fence however claimed the electrification of the fence is to guarantee the protection of his animals.
“ENEO! a cable is in the water and no one can move it,” lamented Ali’s father.
Ali’s lifeless body was discovered floating on the stream at about 5 pm, with the cable still connected to the water.
According to witnesses present at the scene of the tragedy, the young boy is the second victim of the electrified fence.
“This is the second victim. What do we do?” asked a witness
