Dr Alain Eko takes command as new Kumba District Hospital Director



The Kumba District Hospital now has a new Director.

Dr Alain Eko was commissioned into office Friday May 27, 2022.


The ceremony took place in Kumba.

He was installed by the Senior Divisional Officer, SDO for Meme Division, Chamberlin Ntou’ou Ndong.


The newly installed director has been called upon to execute his task with diligence as well as improve the living conditions of population.

He has also been tasked to emulate the footstep of Dr Eko Eko, recently promoted as South West Regional Delegate of public health.


According to Dr Eko Eko who was present at the ceremony, “I have been promoted as the Regional Delegate of public health in the South West.

While Eko is leaving, the other other Eko is coming.”


Dr Alain Eko in his acceptance speech, outlined infrastructural challenges as the major problem which has to be attended to.

” I think that one of the first thing we need to do is improve on the infrastructure of this hospital.”


Dr Alain Eko was Cheif Medical Officer of the Ekona sub hospital in Fako division, prior his appointment as new director of the Kumba District Hospital Kumba town.
