Dr. Tina Fru Ndi unveiled as successor of Ni John Fru Ndi

Dr. Tina Fru Ndi was on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023, unveiled as the successor of Ni John Fru Ndi.

She was unveiled by her family members in a solemn ceremony that took place at the Yaounde residence of the opposition leader.

This comes less than one week after Ni John Fru Ndi, one of Cameroon’s most distinguished politicians and National Chairman of Frontline opposition political party, the Social Democratic Front, SDF, was buried.

Ni John Fru Ndi was laid to rest on July 29th, 2023, in his native Baba II village, near Bamenda, the regional capital of the restive North West Region.

The announcement of a woman as his successor astounds many – particularly because Ni John Fru is the father of numerous sons.

Fru Ndi died aged 81, following a protracted illness.

Dr. Fru Ndi graduated from the Medical College of Georgia At Georgia Regents University in 2014.
