Nfor Julius Budih, a driver with Bamenda Mutual Health Organization, was shot dead by yet-to-be-identified gunmen around 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, near the Government Bilingual Teacher Training College at Foncha Junction, Bamenda, in the North West Region.

Local sources say he was brought to the location on a motorcycle and executed in cold blood.

His assailants fled immediately after the killing.

Residents rushed to the scene but found Nfor already dead, with his legs tied.

The brutal killing has left the community in shock.

This incident comes less than a week after another young man, identified as Nji Prince, was killed and dumped in the Mbingfibie neighborhood of Mankon.

Killings have surged in Bamenda, a city already under the strain of an armed conflict that has instilled terror among its residents.

The rising crime wave is closely linked to the ongoing conflict, which has led to the proliferation of firearms in civilian hands, exacerbating the insecurity.
