East Region: Apprentice lumberman allegedly murders boss

24-year-old Fabrice Ngozo’o has been detained after he was alleged to have murdered his trainer, Budjende Gaule. After the pair went to a forest to fell trees in the village of Dainguéné, East Region, the trainee emerged alone.

The two men, apprentice and boss are well known men in the Dainguéné locality for their felling of trees. It so happened that Budjende Gaule had taken Fabrice along with him to go fell some trees based on an order.

A client had demanded 500 logs of white wood. After spending close to a week in the forest, Fabrice Ngozo’o returned from the forest alone, without any explanations as to the absence of his trainer.

After searching through the forest for Mr Budjende Gaule, traces of blood were spotted where he had been felling trees with Fabrice.

The Mandjou Gendarmerie was informed about it and Fabrice was arrested. W

It is believed while on duty, Fabrice killed Mr Budjende Gaule, cut off his head then buried his body.

Investigations have been opened, but so far the possible reason why Fabrice could have decided to kill and mutilate his trainer remains obscure.

The body of Bidjende Gaul, meanwhile, has been kept at the Bertoua Regional Hospital Mortuary, awaiting burial by his family.
