Eding Sport FC falsified identity documents for Tufoin Juliet, without her consent and used them to discredit her goal scored against them in the game with Ebolowa FC where she currently plays.
Eding Sport FC, a Cameroonian football club of the Lekie division will be dragged to court for falsifying the identity of a young female player Tufoin Juliet.
The sponsor of the young female football player made the disclosure after a discovery that the football club had tampered with her identity when she formerly trained with them before being signed by another team.
Tufoin Juliet according to information gathered by MMI, now plays for FC Ebolowa.
Matters came to a head when Eding Sport FC suffered a defeat at the hands of FC Ebolowa in April 2023 with the lone goal scored by Tufoin Juliet
According to reports, Eding Sport FC presented documents with a falsified identity of Juliet prompting FECAFOOT to award the points to Eding Sport FC without a hearing. The situation, however, was not the girl’s doing but rather that of the football club:
“the sports club in Cameroon called Eding Sport is trying to kill the career of this girl called Tufoin Juliet. She used to train with Eding when she left Bamenda during the war and came to Yaoundé. Eding proposed to change her name and her age which the family and I refused and decided to abandon the training sessions she had with them, but little did she know that they had gone ahead to falsify her identity without her consent” her Manager explained to MMI.
He said when Juliet left Eding Sport FC, “she signed a contract with FC Ebolowa at the current season and played against Eding in April, scoring the lone winning goal.”
“Eding came out with the false identity and presented to FECAFOOT which immediately warded the points to them without any judgment” he went on.
The case has left the young female player traumatized as her career now hangs on a balance.
She is currently ineligible to take part in any football encounter until a final decision is made on the matter.
Her sponsor says they will be heading to court once a final decision is handed down by the national football governing body.
“For now, we are still waiting for the verdict before we can sue Eding for defamation. We do not know what is taking FECAFOOT this long with all the evidence submitted ” he sounded.
