A man identified only as Ifeanyi living in the town of Ekok in Cameroon’s South West region has passed away. Sources attribute his death to too much alcohol intake.
A mechanic by profession, Ifeanyi’s neighbor says last night was not the first time he had gone out drinking.
“He drinks a lot and whenever he does so, he lies down at his door. When cold, he will wake up and go inside. Yesterday we thought it was the routine,” says his neighbor.
Ifeanyi, she adds, continued to lie at his door even when others insisted he goes in.
“My boss told him to go inside but he refused. At night I heard him groan and thought maybe somebody wanted to harm him. We checked but saw no one and asked him to go inside,” the neighbor adds.
An identification process is ongoing to find out other details about the deceased.
