Enondiale Carolaise’s Father Offers Mass for his Child, Opens Up on what transpired

Enongene Nelson, the father of Enondiale Carolaise, the little girl killed last week by a Gendarme officer in Buea has offered a memorial mass for his kid.

Enongene Nelson during the memorial mass said little Carolaise was closest to him among all his children.

“People who know me how much I value my children. A lot of people know me on Facebook just because of my kids.”

The father of the deceased child said he had been left heartbroken by the loss of his daughter, and said he would wish no parent to go through what he and his wife have gone through.

Nelson Enongene also took the opportunity to clear the air on what had transpired at the scene of the incident. Contrary to what many have been made to believe, Mr. Nelson Enongene says his wife was not on the wheel as many believe. He says she does not even know how to drive a car.

The driver of the car according to Mr. Enongene was his wife’s colleague. At the checkpoint where it happened, the driver, despite having his documents was told his car was going to be impounded.

The Gendarme officer is said to have asked the driver to come out of the car and for the children in it to walk to school. “…The driver asked the Gendarme how he expected the little children to walk to school…the driver then took off. My wife says she heard a gunshot, and the child’s head exploded on the other kids.”

Nelson Enongene revealed that he and his wife have been widely insulted following the debacle. “Some people have called me ‘Amba,’ that I was the one driving, ” he said. “Some have also accused my wife by saying she was caught with weapons meant for Amba.”

Heartbroken about little Carolaise’s death, Nelson Enongene said he would never forget his little girl. He said he prayed nobody experiences the pain he has at the moment.
