Eto’o’s Former Club announces Complete Shut Down Due to Financial Instability

Russian football club side, Anzhi Makhatchkala is set to completely shutdown and cease exist as a football club henceforth.

The club’s top management has decided to close the doors of the once rich and famous footballing side following several years of battling with enormous financial instability.

It was at Anzhi Makhatchkala that Cameroon’s legendary striker became the world highest paid player then, with an annual salary of 29 Million USD, annually.

Samuel Eto’o represented the Russian club for 73 official matches, and scored 36 goals following his 35 million USD transfer from Inter Milan.

The club which is now set to close also had some big names which represented them like Brazil’s Roberto Carlos, and Wilian.
