UN donates farm inputs to Bamenda II inhabitants



Some inhabitants of the Bamenda II municipality in the North West, have benefited from a donation by the United Nation Development Program, UNDP.

The donation was handed to the beneficiaries June 3, 2022.


According to reports, the donations which took place at the Bamenda II council is in line with the presidential reconstruction plan for the North West and South West Regions.

The donation saw the presence of the Mayor of the Bamenda II municipality, Chenwi Peter.


According to him, the donation is simply to get the residents employed while waiting for the full implementation of the reconstruction plans.

“The council in collaboration with the UNDP have given them equipment to start poultry that will help them to employ themselves while waiting for the full implementation of the reconstruction plan.” indicated Chenwi Peter.


The agricultural equipment provided comprise 300 bags of feeds, 9000 chicks and dozens of sprayers.

“What you have done for us is a wonderful thing and mouth cannot express. We thank our Mayor, we thank the UNDP, we thank all the other collaborators who supported this donation.” said one of the beneficiaries.



The mayor has however reassured his population that more of such gestures will be implemented especially in the educational and health sector.
