The family of 21-year-old Eugene Nde Chumboh says they are still suspicious of Kingship, a Christian denomination in Douala, where their son went for a crusade but was announced dead days later.
Kingship Church leaders say the instrumentalist, who played in church on Friday, December 4, drowned in a pool used for baptizing newly converted Christians.
“What a wicked world! Can Kingship please tell us what happened to our brother? What is Kingship hiding concerning the death of our brother?” questioned a family member.
Eugene Nde who played instruments at the Douala-based Kingship Church and reportedly left home on December 4 for a crusade at the Church.
He played instruments in the said Church on Friday but reportedly disappeared after the service.
After days of inquiry from family members following his disappearance, the Church leaders later announced on Sunday he has died after drowning.
A family member has told MMI that their son’s corpse was said to have been already laid at the mortuary and that they were denied access to their dismay.
“To make matters worse, they took Eugene to the mortuary without informing his family, and dismissed my elder sister after she requested to see the corpse of her kid brother.”
The church is yet to make any official remark.
